Step #1

Make a Better Impact Account
**While waiting on your background check you may begin working on Steps 2 and 3.
- DON’T WAIT

a.       Follow this link to make an account: http://bttr.im/5tg1q

b. Watch for background check permission email. You must grant this permission to move forward.

c.       Background check will then be completed

d.       The status of your background check will be displayed on your Better Impact Account

Step #2

Make a Praesidium Account to Complete Safe From Harm Training
**this can be completed while waiting for your background check - DON’T WAIT

a.       Follow this link to make an account and complete SFH: https://www.praesidiumacademy.com/redeem

b.       Use this registration code: reg-salvationarmycent-414-wisconsinuppermichigan

c.       As a volunteer you will need to complete the following SFH courses:

1. Safe From Harm Policies and Guidelines

2. Social Media Safety

3. Abuse Risk Management for Volunteers

**If it is your first time taking the course OR if your training is expired the class must be done in person! Please contact dylan.lacanne@usc.salvationarmy.org for class options**

Step #4

Email to Discuss Volunteering at Camp

Once Step #1 and Step #2 are completed you will get an email from Dylan LaCanne. If you have any questions please direct them to dylan.lacanne@usc.salvationarmy.org. While you wait, please also fill out this form: Employment Involving Working with Children - you will need to print this form and have a witness signature.
